This is really neat. We hire with work sample tests. We’re happy with our process up to L3, but don’t have tests we trust for L4. We figure, if we’re going to tech people out for L4, we’ll do something distributed systemsy.

We get Ben “Litestream” Johnson to noodle on a distributed systems WST, and then get the idea to just buy some straight from the source, which, obviously, is Kyle Kingsbury.

About a day into the consulting project, Ben and Kyle have a whole suite of distributed systems challenges, and the project is pretty obviously not just about hiring anymore.
