Next yak to shave is gonna be porting my blog to Lume and then getting posts automatically posting to Mastodon. And maybe also actually writing some posts, so that work isn't going to naught.

@bmp dumb question but what’s Luma?

@nsfmc Not a dumb question! Static site generator for Deno. Also I misspelled it, which I think (?) I can fix now. It's actually called Lume. https://lume.land

I do most of my hobbyist stuff in Deno recently because I'm just too lazy to go against the grain. I don't have as much time to code, so I really care about libraries being easily available. Deno splits the difference for me between dealing with JS/TS (fine) and dealing with Node (no thank you).

@nsfmc Deno is https://deno.land. I have a few things I've written in Deno, the biggest *public* one being http://sr.ht/~bmp/hayom, but there's also been silly/fun stuff (e.g. https://www.bitquabit.com/post/i-see-deno-in-your-future/)

@bmp deno rocks! i was bummed that i couldn’t use sharp in it recently which comically stalled a project i was doing, but for most stuff it’s incredibly pleasant

@nsfmc Have you played with Fresh? I'm dangerously close to using it for something "big". The 1.1 update fixed literally every immediate issue I had with it.

@bmp no it’s on my list though, when i got stymied with sharp i moved most of my lib code from my deno project and threw stuff into nextjs which at least got me making progress again. maybe over dec break.

@nsfmc That and SveltKit are the only two JS frameworks I'm *currently* aware of that fit with how I like to write (admittedly not public) web apps. I've been looking for something a bit less minimalist than htmx, and Fresh has been a lot of fun in that space.
