@palvaro i thought the idea behind it was to prevent cops from being able to hassle urms for doing it because they found that cops tend to cite them way more after looking through the data. agree we need to fix something about ca car culture though, but this law seems more about specious prosecutions https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-10-01/jaywalking-decriminalized-in-california-under-new-law
