It’s weird that EV cars were all created by techno libertarian weirdos but the charger networks all charge a flat, nationwide rate.
Residential energy in Oregon is like 3-5 cents/kW but in San Francisco in the daytime, it’s close to $0.50/kW.
But there’s no surge pricing when electric demand is high or cheaper rates where hydro/solar is ample like Oregon. The chargers I’m using on this trip are all $0.48/kW 24hrs a day.
@andyhilmer I would think the price should vary based on the local costs, 48c/kW is very high for residential power.
