Embarking on a weeks long noir film binge probably. Or maybe more accurately, ramping up the binge I started some weeks back.

Tonight was Notorious. Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman. Very enjoyable. Amazed at how steamy these movies could get with everyone fully dressed and only kissing. Whew! The ending was a nail-biter and the finale was brilliant.

Today was Double Indemnity with Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck. And Edward G. Robinson, as a good guy. Plot was really good. MacMurray was good. I didn't like Stanwyck at all, but maybe that was the intention.

@bit101 yeah, stanwyck definitely was a villain not written to be appealing.

Is “Detour” from 1945 on your list? A low budget but intense one.
