There are so, so, so, *so* many dark patterns to try to get parents to pony up $60/yr. I'm literally going to record my wife signing up so I can make sure I have the counts and workflows correct when I document it in my blog post, but I think I had to decline somewhere around 10 times, and, in the process, was denied access to features that are *not* gated because I was sending the app down unexpected workflows because who declines that many times?!

@bmp @bryanjclark i was expecting a conversation here about how classdojo had also gamified declining the upgrade path and your student had gotten a demerit as a result or something

@bryanjclark @nsfmc It's the further commercialization of public education. That's it. There's no further qualifications. I'm exhausted from this kind of thing
