Tried Powerline first since it was the easiest. Went with the TP-Link AV2000 since it had good reviews. Unfortunately the download speeds and latency were both pretty bad, so I guess I'm stuck with a more difficult option.

Think I'll do this.

@bvaughn had the same experience with powerline btw, some work being done on my house now and finally have a reason/way to run ethernet to random spots in the house

@bvaughn Sucks power line didn't do it. Bit of a shot in the dark, but you don't have phone jacks, do you? We had phone jacks wired with cat 5e in our house, when we bought it. Just had to change the ends. Guessing you'd have noticed, but just in case 😅

@brennanr Unfortunately no. The house is a bit over 30 years old anyway so I doubt we'd have that luck :)
