It is unfortunate that these look a bit like USB-C ports.

@airspeedswift i went to a motel in bodega bay recently that had a bedside lamp whose base had a pair of absolutely trashed usb a ports right next to a non-grounded plug.

@airspeedswift I once woke up to find that a family member had attempted to charge their phone overnight by doing this.

Miraculously, there was no harm done, other than to my blood pressure.

@airspeedswift That’s… two USB-A ports, two pairs of a USB-C and a USB-micro-A port (which one could be forgiven for mistaking as identical), and two 1/8”headphone jacks with decoratively D-shaped outer openings. Right?
