"hilariously overpowered cordless drill, ownership of" is one of the more harmless and fun ways to do some toxic masculinities imo

like every time you pick up a 20V cordless drill you will think "this is so stupid why am I holding this object I am making a little poke in some drywall it is not that serious" but then the entire time you have the trigger down you will be going "HA HA HA FUCK YES THIS IS MY DOMINION AND I AM THE MASTER OF IT ALL"

@taber And the next thing you know, you've gone and bought a 40V chainsaw.

@taber Geeze, just @ me next time 😂

For real though, I remember in high school we were building cars powered by a rat trap and while everyone else was using pliers to pull out the holding arm, I went for the provided Dremel and its cutting wheel and cut it off instead.

It was definitely a moment of "FUCK YES I AM A POWER TOOL MASTER"

@nsfmc if you're already in a cordless tool battery system look for something in that line, Consumer Reports' top picks are from Flex, Milwaukee, Makita and DeWalt (I'm a DeWalt girl myself) if you aren't already in one

@nsfmc I'm really happy with the abuse theirs put up with so I know you'll get a lot of years of it!
